aki is is a Belgian jazz project by drummer Anke Verslype. Together with various musicians she brings her compositions to life.
BRIES is an interactive and visual theatre concert by drummer and composer Anke Verslype (aki), created especially for everyone aged 3 and up. With three live musicians, a dancer, and an animation artist, a world emerges where music, movement, and imagination flow together.
Anke Verslype invited Artan Buleshkaj (guitar) and Loni Cornelis (violin) to bring new work to life. In a spirit of freedom, they blend improvisation with Verslype’s minimalist songs, crafting melodies that emerge from open, spacious sounds — disarmingly simple, deeply engaging, and at times stepping unexpectedly into the spotlight.
